Qualifications:

- Experience with dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix)

- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

- Willingness to travel

- Experience in training is a plus

Essential Functions:

- Assist the orthodontist in patient treatment

- Instruct patients on elastic treatment

- Prepare tray setups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures

- Take diagnostic-quality X-rays and attach them to patient charts

- Mix amalgam, cement, and prepare impression materials

- Pour, trim, and polish impression trays

- Assist with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients

- Place and cement bands

- Set up orthodontic brackets and remove excess cement from brackets and bands

- Create retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions

- Provide excellent chairside assistance and anticipate the next steps to stay in sync with the doctor

- Take initial, progress, and de-bond photos of patients

- Scan patients for clear aligners or models

Physical Requirements:

- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing as needed

- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
