We’re looking for a highly skilled Lead Orthodontic Assistant to join our team and play a vital role in delivering top-tier patient care across 5+ orthodontic practices in Brooklyn and Queens.  

Competitive Pay: Starting at $25/hour, with higher compensation available for experienced candidates.  

What You’ll Do:  
Provide expert chairside assistance during advanced orthodontic procedures, including braces placement, arch wire adjustments, aligner fittings, and appliance removals.  
Mentor and train junior assistants, ensuring adherence to best practices in orthodontic care, infection control, and workflow efficiency.  
Capture and process high-quality X-rays, CBCT scans, and digital impressions using state-of-the-art imaging technology.  
Educate patients on oral hygiene, appliance care, and post-treatment instructions for successful treatment outcomes.  
Maintain and manage orthodontic instruments, sterilization protocols, and equipment to optimize clinical efficiency.  
Assist with fabrication and adjustments of retainers, space maintainers, and other orthodontic appliances.  
Collaborate closely with orthodontists, treatment coordinators, and front office staff to ensure seamless patient scheduling and treatment flow.  
Troubleshoot and resolve complex patient cases and appliance issues with efficiency and care.  
Keep detailed and accurate patient records, tracking treatment progress and appliance usage.  
Stay updated on advancements in orthodontic techniques, clear aligner technology, and digital workflow solutions.  

What We’re Looking For:  
5+ years of experience as an Orthodontic Assistant in a high-volume practice.  
X-ray & CPR certification required.  
Proficiency in digital imaging, CBCT scans, intraoral scanners, and orthodontic software.  
Strong expertise in braces, aligners, space maintainers, and retainers.  
Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and train junior team members.  
Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced clinical setting.  
Excellent communication and patient-care skills with a compassionate approach.  
Commitment to maintaining infection control, sterilization protocols, and HIPAA compliance.
