Your Key Responsibilities:
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque and tartar
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care
Administer local anesthesia and apply sealants as needed
Capture and process dental radiographs (X-rays) while following safety guidelines
Collaborate with dentists to assess oral health and support treatment planning
Provide pre- and post-operative care, guiding patients on home care and follow-ups
Monitor periodontal health through charting and assist in gum disease treatment plans
Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene advancements via continuing education
Maintain detailed, accurate patient records including treatments and progress notes
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
Valid state license to practice dental hygiene (e.g., RDH license)
Proven experience in comprehensive dental cleanings and preventive care
Skilled in diagnostic and preventive procedures, including X-rays, fluoride treatments, and oral cancer screenings
Excellent communication skills for patient education and teamwork

Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to legal and ethical standards
