Starting at $60 per hour plus bonus commission, with higher earning potential based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, diet, and preventive care to promote long-term dental health.
- Administer local anesthesia and apply sealants as needed.
- Take and develop dental X-rays while following strict safety protocols.
- Work closely with dentists to assess patients’ oral health, identify concerns, and contribute to treatment planning.
- Provide pre- and post-operative care, educating patients on at-home recovery and follow-up care.
- Monitor periodontal health through charting and assist in treatment planning for gum disease.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and participate in continuing education.
- Maintain accurate patient records, documenting procedures, recommendations, and progress.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
- Active state dental hygiene license (e.g., RDH).
- Experience in providing comprehensive cleanings and preventive care.
- Skilled in diagnostic and preventive procedures, including X-rays, fluoride treatments, and oral cancer screenings.
- Passion for patient care, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
