Job Description

Qualifications:
- Preferably holds or is eligible for Dental Anesthesia Assistant (DAANCE) National Certification
- Skilled at leading and supporting a team during sedation and anesthesia procedures
- Strong communicator with the ability to work seamlessly with the office team and doctors
- Demonstrates compassion and empathy for patients and their families
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is highly preferred
- Willingness to travel within and potentially out of state (Rodeo Dental's Travel department coordinates any out-of-state arrangements)
- Active, valid Driver’s License is required, as personal vehicle travel to partner locations may be needed during the workday

Essential Responsibilities:
- Wash and sterilize reusable equipment and report any equipment malfunctions
- Perform safety checks on anesthesia equipment and assist anesthesiologist as required
- Interpret ASA monitors and manage airway in the operatory or recovery room
- Remove and dress ASA monitors and IV line before patient discharge
- Conduct pre-operative interviews, including health history review and verification of NPO status, medications, and allergies
- Review post-operative instructions with patients, parents, or guardians, ensuring all questions are addressed
- Set up and check oxygen tanks, central supply connections, and backup E tank oxygen cylinder before each clinic day, changing tanks as necessary
- Place intravenous lines and monitor ASA equipment, including blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximetry, temperature probes, and ECG electrodes
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs as needed
