Dental Assistant
Job Description
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors warmly and professionally
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify insurance information and collect co-payments
- Maintain and update patient records and medical documentation as needed
- Assist with patient assessments and provide support to medical staff
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers and schedule follow-up appointments
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and other correspondence
- Keep the front desk area clean and organized
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (experience with Epic preferred)
- Knowledge of medical coding and terminology
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information confidentially
- Experience in a pediatric healthcare setting is a plus
