Pediatric Dental Assistant (Thursday's)

We are currently seeking an Experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our high-end, multi-specialty dental practice located in Brooklyn Heights. Our office provides care across Pediatric, Adult, and Orthodontic specialties, and we are looking for a friendly, energetic professional who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

Position: Experienced Pediatric Dental Assistant
Location: Brooklyn Heights, NY 11201
Pay: \$25.00 – \$35.00 per hour
Job Type: Part-time | 8-hour shifts
Work Setting: In-person (One location)

Key Responsibilities:

Provide four-handed chairside assistance to the dentist, primarily in pediatric procedures
Take high-quality diagnostic x-rays, including DEXIS and panoramic (Pano) images
Take dental impressions accurately and efficiently
Prepare and maintain treatment rooms to ensure a clean, sterile, and organized environment
Sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
Use Dentrix dental software for patient records and scheduling

Qualifications:

Several years of experience as a dental assistant, with a focus on pediatric dentistry
Proficiency in taking x-rays and impressions
Experience with Dentrix software preferred
A positive, upbeat attitude and ability to create a fun and welcoming atmosphere for young patients
Strong communication and organizational skills
