Dental Records and Sterile Tech for Orthodontic office

We’re a growing orthodontic practice seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Dental Assistant to focus on records and sterilization. This role is essential in documenting patient progress and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment. It’s a great entry-level position for someone eager to grow in orthodontics.

Dental Assistant – Records & Sterilization (Orthodontics)
Part-Time | Tuesday & Thursday | 8:45 AM – 5:45 PM
Pay: \$18.00 – \$20.00 per hour | 16 hours/week

Key Responsibilities:

Capture high-quality intraoral and extraoral photographs for diagnostics and treatment tracking
Assist with digital impressions using 3D scanners and/or traditional impression techniques
Accurately upload and maintain patient records, photos, and treatment documentation in our digital system
Sterilize instruments and equipment according to clinical guidelines
Disinfect dental chairs and prepare operatory rooms between patients
Ensure imaging and scanning equipment is clean, functional, and calibrated
Greet and guide patients through the records process with professionalism and care
Support the orthodontist and team with daily clinical tasks
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and OSHA standards
Help with occasional administrative or support duties to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-focused approach
Strong attention to detail and comfort with technology (including digital imaging and scanners)
Ability to stay organized and efficient in a fast-paced clinical environment
Previous experience in a dental or orthodontic setting is a plus, but **not required** — we’re happy to train the right candidate
Familiarity with sterilization and infection control procedures preferred

Eagerness to learn and grow within the orthodontic field

Schedule: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 8:45 AM – 5:45 PM
