Growing Smiles Pediatric Dental is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. If you enjoy helping children feel comfortable, teaching them healthy habits, and embracing the energy and fun that comes with pediatric dentistry, we would love to meet you.

We provide exceptional, compassionate dental care for patients from infancy through adolescence, including children with special healthcare needs. Our board-certified pediatric dentists are affiliated with Lurie Children’s Hospital and are committed to delivering the highest standard of care.

Ideal Candidate

Coronal polishing certification strongly preferred
At least 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
Calm, patient, and tactful in a fast-paced clinical environment
Team-oriented, with a positive and collaborative attitude
Strong time management skills and comfort with multitasking
Genuine passion for working with children and ensuring a positive dental experience

Responsibilities

Assist pediatric dentists during procedures, providing a supportive and reassuring environment for young patients
Prepare and maintain treatment areas, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for each appointment
Welcome children and families, explain procedures in an age-appropriate manner, and help reduce dental anxiety
Take digital radiographs and manage dental images in accordance with safety protocols
Maintain accurate and timely patient records, including treatment notes and care instructions
Educate parents on proper oral hygiene and best practices for maintaining their child’s dental health

Qualifications

Coronal polishing certification strongly preferred
Minimum of 1 year of dental assisting experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and standard procedures
Proficiency with digital radiography and dental software (Eaglesoft preferred)
