Dental Assistant-Part Time - Now Hiring

We are seeking a Part-Time Dental Assistant to support our growing team. As a DA, you will play a key role in assisting our providers, supporting office operations, and helping deliver exceptional patient experiences—especially for children, who make up the majority of our patient base.

Topaz Dentistry and Braces – San Antonio, TX
Schedule: 2 days per week
Locations: McCreless & Leon Valley
Required: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License – Texas

How You’ll Make an Impact

Participate in community outreach events, including school screenings and presentations
Join daily morning huddles and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
Engage warmly with children and families to create a comfortable, supportive experience

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, compassionate care to every patient
Guide parents and patients through treatment processes and instructions
Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
Take and upload X-rays (depending on location)
Ensure hygiene bays and operatories are stocked, organized, and ready for use
Prepare tray setups and assist with procedures including fillings, crowns, impressions, and orthodontic care
Sterilize instruments and maintain a clean clinical environment
Assist the dental team chairside, including suctioning, retracting, and suture cutting
Document patient information, treatment plans, and procedures accurately
Pour, trim, and polish models; fabricate custom impression trays
Adhere to all regulations, company standards, and compliance programs
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required
Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license in Texas (required)
X-ray certification preferred
CDA credentials preferred (location dependent)
Bilingual Spanish is a plus
Strong integrity and commitment to compliance and patient care
