Philadelphia FIGHT is seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Assistant to support clinical operations at our FQHC Community Health Centers. The ideal candidate is trauma-informed, embraces harm-reduction principles, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Dental Assistant – Philadelphia FIGHT Community Health Centers
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Salary: Competitive
Travel: Minimal local travel between health centers

You’ll play a vital role in patient care, supporting both clinical and administrative teams while delivering high-quality dental services with professionalism and empathy.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment rooms following standard procedures and protocols
Greet, seat, and prepare patients for dental procedures
Take vital signs and answer patient questions
Support general dental procedures with expert knowledge of infection control, sterilization, and setup
Take and develop radiographs; pour, trim, and polish study casts
Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and informed consent guidelines
Educate patients on oral hygiene and preventive care
Triage urgent care needs and manage patient flow
Protect patient confidentiality at all times
Support excellence in daily dental operations

Qualifications:

Radiology certification (PA)
CPR/BLS/AED certification (adults and children)
Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health records
Strong communication and teamwork skills
