EFDA- Roxborough

Doc Bresler’s Cavity Busters is looking for a skilled and compassionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team at our Roxborough location. This is an immediate opening for a full-time role, though we are open to considering part-time candidates as well.

Location: Roxborough, Philadelphia, PA 19128
Full-Time (Part-Time Applicants Will Be Considered)
Starting at \$28.00/hour

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

Greet parents and review the day’s treatment plan
Escort patients to the operatory and confirm demographics
Seat patients and explain procedures clearly and compassionately
Update and confirm digital health records
Set up trays, drape patients, and prep the operatory
Take digital radiographs and prepare materials such as cements, amalgams, composites, and impression materials
Perform impressions and space maintainer insertions
Place, finish, and polish amalgam and composite restorations
Place dental sealants, matrix bands, wedges, and primary crowns
Perform coronal polishing
Assist the dentist chairside, including during emergencies
Help with charting and deliver post-op instructions
Review visits and next steps with parents, guiding them to the front desk
Follow all infection control protocols
Clean, disinfect, and restock operatories
Receive and verify materials and supply orders

Requirements:

EFDA Certification (Required)
Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a team environment
COVID-19 vaccination (Mandatory)
Ability to commute to: Philadelphia, PA 19128

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

Bilingual (Spanish, Russian, Chinese a plus)
Experience with Dentrix Enterprise and dental terminology
