Position Summary

The Dental Assistant plays a key role in supporting our clinical team and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for both patients and staff. This role includes chairside assisting, taking diagnostic x-rays, and helping with front desk and administrative tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during all clinical procedures
Manage patient comfort and behavior during treatments
Take high-quality diagnostic intraoral x-rays and properly mount and label images
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Follow infection control and sterilization protocols in compliance with OSHA and CDC standards
Accurately chart and document patient treatment in dental software
Support front desk operations as needed, including patient check-in and registration

Requirements & Skills:

Proficient in chairside assisting and taking intraoral x-rays
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Reliable, organized, and self-motivated
Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Comfortable working with a diverse patient population
Professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and attention to detail are essential

Job Details:

Schedule: Monday–Friday + every other Saturday
Compensation: Based on experience and qualifications
Location: In-person at our Austin neighborhood clinic
