Dental Assistant

River Dentistry is the only full-service and emergency dental office in Downtown Los Angeles. We provide affordable, gentle cosmetic and emergency dental care in a beautiful, relaxing, spa-like environment. Most treatments—including root canals and tooth extractions—are performed in-house and often completed in a single visit. Our mission goes beyond creating beautiful smiles; we are dedicated to improving our patients’ overall health and quality of life.

River Dentistry is currently seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to join our team.

Position Overview
The part-time Dental Assistant will deliver compassionate, high-quality customer service and patient care to both new and existing patients. This role also provides essential support to dentists and dental hygienists while assisting with daily office operations. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and capable of making patients feel comfortable while supporting providers in an efficient and professional manner.

Position Requirements

Team-oriented with a positive attitude
Comfortable assisting dentists with routine procedures, including digital x-rays, coronal polishing, sterilization, and related tasks
Professional appearance and demeanor
Availability to work Mondays through Saturdays (specific days to be determined)
Ability to verify PPO insurance online or by phone and clearly explain insurance benefits to patients
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Excellent written English skills, including grammar and spelling, with the ability to compose patient emails using standard templates
Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and effectively with patients in person and over the phone
