Orthodontic Assistant (Part-Time)
Topaz Dental & Braces

Schedule:

2 days per week | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Requirements:

Texas RDA License
CPR/BLS Certification
Ability to travel between McCreless and Leon Valley locations

Your Role & Impact

Patient Care & Support

Deliver compassionate, high-quality care to every patient
Prepare patients for exams and orthodontic treatments
Educate patients and parents on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
Take X-rays and orthodontic facial photographs
Guide patients and families through treatment processes

Clinical & Operational Duties

Prepare trays and materials for procedures
Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
Maintain clean and organized treatment rooms
Assist dentists and orthodontists during procedures
Accurately document patient records and treatment plans
Pour, trim, and polish impression casts
Fabricate custom impression trays

Team & Community Engagement

Participate in daily team huddles and contribute to a positive work culture
Support community outreach events such as school screenings and presentations
Promote teamwork, collaboration, and excellent patient experiences

Qualifications

Orthodontic or Dental Assistant Certification (state-required)
At least 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience (preferred)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Must enjoy working with children (they make up the majority of our patients)
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Reliable, professional, and committed to high standards of care
Willingness to travel within assigned locations
