We are currently seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in delivering a positive and supportive experience for our patients while assisting with clinical procedures and treatment progress.

Orthodontic Assistant
Location: Austin, TX 78731 | Full-Time
Pay: \$22.00 – \$29.00 per hour | 32–40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the orthodontist with placing braces, adjusting wires, and fitting appliances
Deliver clear aligners and perform wire removal and reapplication
Capture 3D scans and clinical images using the Trios scanner
Take high-quality pano and cephalometric X-rays (certification required)
Support sterilization procedures and contribute to maintaining a clean, organized clinical area
Accurately document treatment progress and update patient records
Educate patients on oral hygiene and appliance care throughout all stages of treatment

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in an orthodontic office
Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license and Radiology Certification
Certified in Coronal Polishing and Basic Life Support (BLS)
Strong attention to detail and a genuine desire to learn and grow
Comfort with technology and the ability to adapt to new software (Ortho2 experience is a plus)

About Our Office:

At EA Orthodontics, we serve both children and adults with Phase I and Phase II treatments. We use a combination of twin and self-ligating brackets (metal and clear), SPARK aligners by Ormco, and advanced tools like the Trios 3D scanner and in-office 3D printing. We primarily utilize indirect bonding with KLOwen brackets for comprehensive cases and operate using Ortho2 software.

Orthodontic assisting experience: 2 years (required)
Registered Dental Assistant license (required)
