Position Overview: Orthodontic Assistant (Support Role)
In this role, you'll support the Office Manager and Clinic Coordinator to ensure smooth, efficient operations within the orthodontic clinic. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards of care, workflow, and patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with patient flow by seating patients promptly and initiating procedures
Place separators, elastic chains, archwires, and remove or check brackets and bonds
Prepare teeth for bonding braces and Invisalign attachments
Monitor and instruct patients on proper oral hygiene practices
Take diagnostic images including X-rays, CBCTs, iTero scans, and impressions
Maintain clear and accurate chart notes, including scheduling next appointments
Debrief patients and parents after visits; answer treatment-related questions
Ensure clinic equipment is properly maintained and report any issues
Deliver instruments to sterilization and support with backup sterilization duties
Keep treatment areas stocked, clean, and organized
Assist the Orthodontist during procedures
Perform daily and monthly side tasks as assigned by the Clinic Coordinator
