Job Description
We are seeking a career-oriented, detail-focused, and people-friendly professional to join our busy dental practice. This role offers opportunities for advancement and on-the-job training for candidates with prior dental experience. The position combines dental assisting (with state license), scheduling, patient communication, and treatment presentation.
Pay: \$18.00 – \$22.00 per hour

The ideal candidate is reliable, well-groomed for a patient-facing role, and committed to a long-term career in the dental field. You should be organized, energetic, and able to create treatment plans while understanding dental insurance, co-pays, and cost calculations. This role also requires extensive walking within the office, teamwork, and excellent people skills to keep the practice running smoothly.
Some evenings and every Saturday are required.
Key Responsibilities
Manage appointment scheduling to create a productive, time-efficient daily flow.
Present and explain treatment plans, motivate patients, and support case acceptance.
Assist with dental assisting duties as needed (state license required).
Use Dentrix practice management software to schedule, chart, and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate with dentists, treatment coordinators, and staff to prioritize cases.
Supervise and support adjunct staff.
Ensure compliance with office policies and regulatory standards.
Monitor financial aspects of scheduling, including tracking revenue and optimizing services with insurance benefits.
Contribute to patient satisfaction and growth through internal marketing initiatives.
Represent the office at marketing events (must have reliable transportation and ability to use personal car).
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
State dental assisting license.
Previous dental front office or chairside experience.
Understanding of dental insurance, billing, and treatment planning.
Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental software.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Outgoing, friendly personality with natural people skills.
Reliable transportation.
Preferred:
Experience in a healthcare or dental office setting.
Supervisory or team leadership skills.
Knowledge of acute care protocols.
Ability to handle the normal pace and stress of a dental office with a cheerful attitude.
Bilingual skills (a plus).
