Dental Surgical Assistant

Surgical Assistant – Full-Time

Pay: \$22.00 – \$25.00 per hour
Schedule: 40 hours per week | In-person

What You’ll Do:

Prepare the operating room and ensure all surgical instruments and materials are ready
Provide real-time support during procedures — passing instruments, anticipating needs, and assisting the surgical team
Uphold a sterile environment by following infection control and sterilization protocols
Document patient histories, surgical notes, and other medical information accurately
Collaborate across specialties including Endodontics, Pediatric Dentistry, Prosthodontics, and more
Utilize Dentrix or similar dental software for documentation and scheduling
Support patients pre- and post-operatively, ensuring comfort, understanding, and excellent care

What We’re Looking For:

Preferred Experience & Skills:

Previous experience as a Surgical Assistant or in a similar clinical role
Familiarity with dental assisting practices
Knowledge of medical documentation and coding (a plus)
Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is beneficial
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
High attention to detail with the ability to multitask in a busy setting
Certification or training in surgical assistance or dental reception preferred, but not required
