Dental Periodontist

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Periodontist to join our patient-focused dental team. The ideal candidate will have advanced training in periodontics and a passion for delivering high-quality care. This role involves diagnosing and treating periodontal disease, performing surgical procedures, and working closely with other dental professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment outcomes.

Periodontist – Part-Time / Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Perform detailed evaluations of patients’ periodontal health, including gum tissue and bone assessments
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients with periodontal disease
Perform surgical procedures such as dental implants, gum grafts, flap surgeries, and bone regeneration
Administer local anesthesia and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and long-term periodontal maintenance
Collaborate with general dentists and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care plans
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using dental software systems, including **Epic**
Follow aseptic techniques and maintain strict compliance with all safety and infection control protocols

Qualifications:

DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Completion of a CODA-accredited residency in Periodontics (required)
Strong understanding of dental and medical terminology relevant to periodontics
Experience with general dentistry procedures (e.g., extractions, root canals) preferred
Experience treating pediatric patients is a plus
Excellent clinical and diagnostic skills with a patient-centered approach
Outstanding communication and teamwork skills
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment

Position Details:

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Expected Hours: Approximately 8 hours/week
Pay Range: \$50,000 – \$203,803 per year (commensurate with experience and schedule)

Schedule:

8-hour shift
Monday to Friday (no weekends)
