From \$69,302 annually (based on education and experience)

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive oral health assessments, including evaluations for periodontal disease, lesions, and signs of oral cancer
Review medical histories and conduct dental and periodontal charting
Provide hygiene treatments according to prescribed care plans, such as prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and debridement
Take and mount digital radiographs
Administer fluoride treatments and apply protective sealants
Take dental impressions for study models, diagnostic casts, or mouthguards
Administer local anesthesia as permitted
Accurately document all care provided in the electronic health record
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene, brushing and flossing techniques, nutrition, and the importance of routine care
Maintain knowledge of current dental hygiene and periodontal practices, infection control protocols, instrument sterilization, and dental materials
Provide age-appropriate and culturally competent care to a diverse patient population
Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care

Qualifications

Required:

Current PA Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license
Permit to administer local anesthesia
Current CPR/BLS certification

Preferred:

Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner Permit
Experience using NextGen EHR system
