Key Responsibilities

Patient Care

Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including plaque, tartar, and stain removal
Conduct oral cancer screenings and evaluate overall oral health
Educate patients on effective oral hygiene and preventive care techniques

Clinical Support

Assist dentists with examinations and accurately document findings
Capture and develop dental X-rays
Record periodontal conditions and contribute to treatment planning

Treatment Collaboration

Work closely with the dental team to develop and explain treatment options
Offer personalized home care recommendations based on individual patient needs

Patient Experience

Create a calm and supportive atmosphere during all procedures
Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide when necessary (as licensed)

Qualifications

Licensure: Current Dental Hygienist license in the state of \[State]
