What You’ll Do:
As a Dental Assistant, you’ll bring both technical expertise and a warm, professional demeanor to help drive patient satisfaction and retention. Your daily impact includes:
Delivering outstanding chairside service with a patient-first mindset
Supporting doctors and hygienists during procedures by anticipating their needs and following direction
Taking, developing, and mounting high-quality radiographs
Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments per OSHA and Sonrava protocols
Reviewing patient records, updating health history, and documenting clinical notes
Assisting with scheduling, patient follow-ups, and lab case tracking
Educating patients on oral care, treatment procedures, and post-op instructions
Monitoring dental supply inventory and ordering as needed
Participating in daily team huddles and checklist reviews to ensure smooth operations
Upholding HIPAA and OSHA compliance at all times
Engaging in training and continued learning through Sonrava’s Learning Management System
What You Bring:
Education & Certifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required)
Current Radiography Certification (required)
Dental Assistant certification as required by state, or ability to obtain
CPR certification (preferred)
Nitrous Oxide Monitoring Certification (preferred)
Up-to-date OSHA, HIPAA, and Infection Control training
Skills & Qualities:
Excellent customer service and chairside manner
Strong communication and documentation skills
Team player with a professional, positive attitude
High attention to detail with solid organization and planning skills
Ability to multitask, stay calm under pressure, and adapt quickly
Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new systems
Additional Details:
Work Environment:
Overtime may be required with approval
Occasional travel for training or support needs
Must follow safety protocols, including PPE usage for radiographs and exposure control
Frequent sitting and standing throughout the day
