Dental Assistant Job at Lianasmiles Dentistry PC in New York

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with the dentist and dental hygienist to deliver high-quality patient care in a positive and fast-paced clinical environment. The ideal candidate has hands-on dental assisting experience, a strong understanding of dental procedures, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
Take and process dental radiographs
Perform basic laboratory tasks, including pouring models and trimming trays
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care
Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
Schedule patient appointments and provide front-desk support as needed

Required Skills and Qualifications

Proficiency with Open Dental and Dentrix software
Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and clinical procedures
Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control standards
Ability to take accurate dental x-rays
Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
