Traveling Orthodontic Assistant / RDA

We are seeking a motivated Traveling Orthodontic / Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our growing team and support multiple practice locations. This is an exciting opportunity for an adaptable, patient-focused assistant who enjoys variety, teamwork, and professional growth.

As a key member of our clinical team, you will provide direct patient care in orthodontics and general dentistry, including assisting with braces, aligners, and other dental appliances.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Preparation: Seat patients, explain procedures, and ensure comfort throughout their visit
Clinical Assistance: Assist the orthodontist during procedures by preparing treatment areas, passing instruments, and supporting placement of brackets, bands, wires, aligners, and retainers
Records & Imaging: Take X-rays, intraoral photos, and digital impressions or molds
Appliance Care: Perform minor orthodontic adjustments, wire changes, and appliance removals as directed
Sterilization & Infection Control: Clean, disinfect, and maintain instruments and equipment
Patient Education: Provide guidance on oral hygiene and orthodontic appliance care
Patient Comfort: Build rapport and ease patient anxiety with friendly, professional communication
Documentation: Maintain accurate patient charts and treatment notes

Qualifications

Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license
Valid First Aid and CPR certifications
Strong communication and organizational skills
Willingness and flexibility to travel regularly
Positive, team-oriented attitude

Travel & Schedule Details

Serving locations across San Antonio, Dallas/Fort Worth, Floresville, and Portland, TX
Monday–Friday schedule
Company vehicle provided for travel with other team members
Travel pay, bonuses, and travel expenses covered
Occasional overnight stays may be required

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: Starting at $20.00 per hour
