Position Overview: Lead Dental Assistant

Schedule:
Monday – Thursday: 7:15 AM – 4:30 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Compensation:
$28 - $30 per hour
Responsibilities:
Record vital signs and update patient medical histories
Take dental X-rays and apply topical anesthetics when required
Welcome patients and clearly explain treatment plans to ensure comfort
Prepare and sterilize instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms
Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures by providing chairside support
Educate patients on post-op care and infection control, answer questions, and schedule follow-ups
Enforce strict infection control and safety protocols
Manage back office operations, including staff coordination, supply management, workflow, lab cases, and patient treatment plans
Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Registered or Certified Dental Assistant
Current RDA license accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
Up-to-date BLS/CPR certification
Strong computer skills and familiarity with dental software for patient records
Proven ability to manage staff and foster a collaborative team environment
