We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our oral surgery team, where you’ll play a key role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our specialists. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and supplies, ensuring strict adherence to aseptic technique
Assist oral surgeons during procedures, including extractions, implant placements, and other surgical interventions, providing hands-on chairside support
Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning
Manage patient records using EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring accurate documentation and coding
Monitor vital signs and review medical histories to ensure patient safety before, during, and after procedures
Educate patients on post-operative care instructions, medication use, and proper oral hygiene
Assist with administrative tasks, including appointment scheduling, answering phones as a dental receptionist, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records
Uphold infection control standards by sterilizing instruments, managing inventory, and following OSHA guidelines

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Dental Assistant, with a background in general dentistry preferred
Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures
Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for record-keeping and scheduling
Certification in radiography with the ability to safely operate X-ray machines
Familiarity with infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures
Skilled in four-handed dentistry and chairside assistance during complex procedures
Experience with medical imaging tools like 3D scanners is a plus
Excellent communication skills to educate patients on treatment plans and post-op care
In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
