A thriving dental practice is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to transition to full-time within six months.

This is a dynamic, cross-trained role that combines front desk responsibilities with chairside assisting as needed. The ideal candidate enjoys variety in their day, works well with both patients and teammates, and is eager to grow within a supportive practice.

Position Overview

The Dental Assistant will primarily support front office operations, including patient coordination and scheduling, while assisting the back office when needed. This role is essential to creating a smooth, positive experience for patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

Front Office Duties

Greet patients and manage check-in and check-out processes
Schedule appointments and maintain an organized provider calendar
Serve as Treatment Coordinator, reviewing treatment plans, financials, and scheduling
Verify insurance benefits on a daily basis
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

Back Office Support

Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in compliance with infection control standards
Assist the doctor with four-handed dentistry
Take and process digital X-rays and intraoral photographs
Maintain accurate charting and clinical notes
Fabricate temporary crowns and perform coronal polishing
Prepare patients for treatments and ensure comfort throughout their visit

Qualifications & Skills

Knowledge of infection control protocols
Experience with Dentrix preferred but not required
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while supporting a team-based environment
Familiarity with basic dental procedures and clinical workflows

No front desk experience required — we will train the right Dental Assistant!

Schedule & Compensation

Part-Time: Tuesday & Thursday
Opportunity to transition to Full-Time within 6 months
Pay: DOE (Dependent on Experience)
