Dental Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to support our dental team in providing exceptional care to patients. This role involves assisting with a variety of procedures, maintaining clinical hygiene standards, and ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience. Dental Assistant (Part-Time)
Location: Houston, TX 77094 | On-site
Pay: \$12.00 – \$25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during clinical procedures using proper chairside techniques
Prepare treatment rooms and set up instruments and materials in advance
Take and develop dental X-rays in accordance with safety regulations
Sterilize and maintain instruments, equipment, and operatory spaces
Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and provide post-operative care instructions
Perform dental charting and accurately update patient records
Support pediatric dental procedures with care and sensitivity
Conduct patient intake, assessments, and record medical histories

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required
Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program
Valid X-ray certification (required)
Working knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
Proficiency in Epic or similar EHR systems
Experience with medical coding is a plus
Familiarity with pediatric dentistry protocols
Experience operating CAD/CAM systems for digital dental restorations is a plus
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
