We’re looking for a motivated and polished **Front Desk Receptionist/Dental Assistant** to join our team and contribute to our exciting launch.
Position Overview:
This dual-role position is perfect for someone who is highly organized, personable, and eager to grow with a premium dental practice. You’ll be the first point of contact for our patients, managing front desk operations, and assisting with clinical procedures as needed. A professional demeanor, attention to detail, and a passion for patient care are essential. Initially, as we establish our patient base, you will temporarily take on both front desk and dental assistant duties to ensure smooth operations. This unique opportunity allows you to play a key role in the growth of River Oaks Dentistry while gaining experience in both administrative and clinical aspects of dental care.
Temporary Dual Role:
In the early stages of our practice, we anticipate a lighter patient schedule. During this time, you will be cross-trained to perform both front desk and dental assistant tasks. This flexibility will be essential in delivering exceptional care and growing our patient base.

Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Receptionist Duties:
- Greet patients with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments using OpenDental practice management software.
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
- Verify patient insurance, process claims, and manage billing inquiries.
- Collect payments and provide receipts while maintaining accurate records.
- Keep the reception area organized and reflective of the office's high-end branding.
Dental Assistant Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments and materials.
- Assist the dentist during procedures to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Take X-rays and perform diagnostic tasks as directed by the dentist.
- Provide patients with post-treatment care instructions.
- Ensure clinical areas are compliant with OSHA and HIPAA standards.
Qualifications:
Education & Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Dental Assistant certification (required).
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience:
- Previous experience in a dental office (3+ years preferred).
- Experience in a luxury service environment is a plus.
Skills & Attributes:

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected Hours: 40 – 45 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday
