Job Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:

- Assist in providing dental care to patients at Scottish Rite for Children, ranging from infancy to age 18, in accordance with established standards.

- Ensure the effective implementation of dental care plans and facilitate patient flow within the clinic.

- Engage positively with preschool, school-age, and adolescent patients, including those with disabilities, adapting care to meet developmental needs.

- Interact face-to-face with staff, patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

- Assist in documenting patient and family assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes.

- Utilize knowledge of child development to support dental treatment interventions for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, school-age children, and adolescents.

Required Skills/Abilities:  

- High school diploma or equivalent required.

- Associate degree in Dental Assisting preferred.

- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant required.

- Previous experience working with children, especially those with disabilities, is beneficial.

- Basic understanding of child development is necessary.
