Join our expanding team at Louis Siegelman DDS in Midtown, New York! We're seeking a dental assistant experienced in sedation and surgical dental procedures. Our practice focuses on providing compassionate care to patients with disabilities and phobias, so a warm, reassuring demeanor is essential.

Dental Assisting Job Responsibilities:  

- Prepare exam rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure equipment readiness  

- Knowledge of oral anatomy and dental terminology  

- Assist with procedures including crowns, fillings, extractions, root canals, and implants  

- Anticipate dentist's needs and pass instruments during procedures  

- Take and process patient X-rays  

- Perform lab tasks as required  

- Greet patients, schedule appointments, and provide oral hygiene guidance  

- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payments  

- Provide post-operative care instructions  

- Handle administrative duties to support the dental practice  

Qualifications:

- 1-2 years of dental assisting experience preferred  

- Experience with sedation and surgical dental cases  

- Professionalism, strong work ethic, and high moral standards  

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  

- Motivated to excel in patient care
