Job Description
Chicago Family Health Centers is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you’ll provide high-quality preventive care, educate patients on oral health, and support a collaborative, community-driven environment.
Dental Hygienist
Location: Chicago, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (with one evening shift: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM weekly)
Saturday rotation: 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive dental cleanings and periodontal services
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices (brushing, flossing, nutrition)
Administer preventive treatments including fluoride applications and dental sealants
Assist dentists during procedures as needed
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and treatment plans
Ensure compliance with all infection control protocols, including instrument sterilization and equipment sanitation
Requirements
Active Registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of Illinois
Minimum of 2 years of experience in clinical dental hygiene
Current CPR (BLS) certification
Proficient in dental charting and patient recordkeeping
Familiarity with dental instruments and sterilization procedures
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, team-oriented mindset
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced clinical setting
Comfortable working as part of a multi-disciplinary care team

Flexibility and adaptability in a high-volume environment
Strong business acumen and understanding of clinical workflows
