Traveling Dental Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Greet patients upon arrival and monitor their check-in process.
- Escort patients to treatment rooms, ensuring comfort and readiness.
- Assist dentists during general and dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, organizing trays and drawers, and anticipating the dentist's needs.
- Take and develop dental X-rays as directed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Maintain and prepare dental instruments, equipment, and supplies for use in treatments.
- Provide coronal polishing and chairside assistance, ensuring an efficient workflow during procedures.
- Prepare and deliver dental materials such as fillings, crowns, and impressions.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and provide post-operative care instructions.
- Schedule and manage patient appointments, maintaining accurate records of treatments and procedures.
- Perform basic lab duties, including processing dental impressions, creating temporary crowns, and constructing models.
- Maintain a clean and organized dental environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as managing patient records, billing, and coordinating referrals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant experience.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.
- Knowledge of oral surgery, infection control protocols, and sterilization techniques.
- Ability to take accurate dental X-rays and maintain digital records.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both patients and the dental team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for managing patient records and scheduling.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning.
- Familiarity with dental software and basic computer skills for administrative tasks.
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings or weekends when necessary.
Position Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Pay: Starting at $25.00 per hour
- Expected Hours: Minimum 40 hours per week

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday with every weekend
- Flexible evening hours may be required
Experience Requirements:
- 2 years of dental assisting (required)
- 1 year of successful teamwork (required)
- 1 year of time management (required)
Relocation:
- Applicants must be willing to relocate to New York, NY 10003 before starting work (required).
Willingness to Travel:
- 50% travel required.
