Job Title: Dental Assistant  
Salary Range: $45,760 – $47,840 annually (plus full benefits)  
Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt  

Position Summary  
Under the supervision of a licensed dentist, the Unlicensed Dental Assistant supports a wide range of clinical tasks. This includes preparing patients for exams, sterilizing instruments, assisting during procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for dental treatment by welcoming, seating, and draping them comfortably  
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and prepare trays for procedures  
- Assist the dentist during treatments and manage dental emergencies  
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and post-operative care  
- Record treatment notes, medical/dental histories, and vital signs in patient charts  
- Perform basic supportive procedures as directed by the dentist  
- Maintain and monitor dental supply inventory and equipment functionality  
- Ensure compliance with preventive maintenance and call for repairs when needed  

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required  
- Completion of a CODA-accredited dental assisting program in the U.S.  
- Dental Assistant Certificate  
- Current BLS Certification  

Experience:
- 1–3 years of experience as a Dental Assistant  
- 0–2.5 years of experience in both front and back office dental duties  
- Experience from an accredited dental assisting training program preferred  

Skills & Abilities:
- Bilingual and bi-literate in English/Spanish strongly preferred  
- Strong documentation and charting skills  
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities  
- Well-organized with strong multitasking and time management skills
