Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)

For over 40 years, our dental practice has been dedicated to providing high-quality care in healthcare settings, including nursing homes and rehab facilities. We are currently seeking talented Registered Dental Hygienists (RDH) to become part of our team! You'll utilize your clinical and interpersonal skills to deliver exceptional dental care to our patients, with a strong focus on the safety, comfort, and dignity of our elderly residents.

Opportunities Available in the NY Area

Responsibilities:

As an RDH, you will perform a comprehensive range of dental hygienist procedures in accordance with state regulations, including:

- Conducting preliminary dental examinations for new and returning patients.

- Examining teeth and surrounding tissues for signs of caries and periodontal disease, and documenting findings.

- Performing head and neck inspections, checking for oral cancer and other diseases.

- Taking, developing, and interpreting radiographs to identify abnormalities.

- Developing dental hygiene treatment plans tailored to residents.

- Administering complete oral prophylaxis and non-surgical periodontal treatment.

- Performing subgingival scaling, root planning, and curettage under local anesthesia as directed by a dentist.

- Applying topical fluoride and other preventive treatments.

- Cleaning and polishing removable dental appliances.

- Participating in in-service education programs and collaborating with a multidisciplinary health team.

- Maintaining professional and ethical interactions with patients and visitors.

Qualifications:

- Current NYS Dental Hygiene License

- Excellent communication skills with diverse professionals and patients

- Proficient with computer systems and electronic dental/medical records

- Strong sense of professionalism and personal ethics
