Job Type: Full-time  

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour, based on experience

Lakewood Dental Group is a private, fee-for-service general dentistry practice offering premium dental care and exceptional customer service to the East Dallas community and surrounding neighborhoods. Our practice provides a wide range of services, including general dentistry, cosmetic procedures, implant placement/restoration, Invisalign, endodontics, and oral surgery. Hours:  

- Monday to Thursday: 7:40 AM - 4:30 PM  

- Friday: 7:40 AM - 1:00 PM (Closed every other Friday)  

You may be required to stay up to 30 minutes after closing to complete your duties.

Qualifications and Skills:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Active Texas RDA license (required)

- CPR certification

- 2+ years of dental assisting experience (preferred)

- Experience with digital practice software (Open Dental preferred)

- Knowledge of dental terminology

- Compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control regulations

Minimum Skills:

- Proficient in Open Dental software

- Experience with iTero intraoral scanning

- Ability to take full-mouth digital x-rays and intraoral photos

- Skilled in making, cementing, and adjusting temporary crowns and fillings

- Proficient in packing cord and taking dental impressions

- Strong chairside assisting skills with great communication and rapport-building

- Experience in sterilizing and disinfecting dental equipment and operatories

- Familiarity with mixing materials for impressions and restorations

- Competency in suction device use and applying topical anesthetics

- Ability to assist with charting and treatment planning

- Skilled in coronal polishing and dental charting

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Deliver exceptional customer service to all patients

- Maintain a clean and welcoming office environment

- Assist the dentist with treatments, anticipating their needs

- Conduct oral evaluations and assist with charting

- Perform iTero intraoral scanning

- Complete daily tasks, equipment maintenance, and ensure operatory setup and breakdown

- Take dental impressions and prepare dental casts

- Sterilize equipment and maintain infection control standards

- Assist with patient education and post-procedure care

Work Environment/Conditions:

- Personal protective equipment and safety protocols are required to reduce risks associated with radiographs and blood-borne pathogens.

- The role may involve prolonged sitting and standing.
