Overview

As a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), you will perform a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties. Your primary role will be to assist the dentist in helping patients commit to the best possible treatment with urgency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the dentist in engaging patients and promoting optimal treatment.

- Use x-ray time to highlight the dentist’s strengths and learn about patients' expectations.

- Educate patients using intra-oral pictures and demonstrate effective chair-side skills.

- Support the dentist in diagnosing and answering patient questions post-examination.

- Follow safety regulations and infection control procedures in compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Responsibilities

- Actively contribute to the Perfect Patient Experience by focusing on optimal treatment while addressing individual patient needs.

- Maintain a clean, sterile, and inviting environment to ensure patient comfort during treatment.

- Prepare patients for procedures and assist the dentist to facilitate efficient, high-quality care.

- Complete x-rays and intra-oral images as directed by the dentist.

- Instruct patients on postoperative care and general oral health as needed.

- Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and treatment areas according to American Dental Association guidelines.

- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and other regulations (e.g., OSHA, HIPAA, Dental Board).

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED, along with the required training courses for certification, licensure, or registration as mandated by the state.

- Relevant certifications/licenses as required (e.g., coronal polish, radiograph exposure).

- An associate degree or one-year certificate from an accredited college or technical school is preferred, along with relevant experience.
