Job Overview

Diamond Dental Studio is looking for a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient records, and maintain a sterile environment to promote optimal health and safety.

Responsibilities

- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared.

- Take and develop X-rays while adhering to safety protocols.

- Monitor and record patients' vital signs before, during, and after treatment.

- Maintain infection control protocols by sterilizing instruments and following aseptic techniques.

- Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits, including cleaning and organizing dental equipment.

- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.

- Efficiently manage patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans.

- Provide support to front office operations, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.

Skills

- Proficient in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in dental care.

- Knowledge of infection control practices to ensure patient safety.

- Experience with X-ray technology and compliance with radiology standards.

- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile work environment.

- Understanding of dental terminology for effective communication with patients and staff.

- Background in a dental clinic setting to enhance workflow efficiency.

- Knowledge of prosthodontics principles to assist in relevant procedures.

- Strong anatomical knowledge related to oral health for better patient education.

- Ability to assist effectively during dental procedures while prioritizing patient comfort.

- Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus for managing administrative tasks.

Job Type: Full-time  

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour  

Expected Hours: 30 per week
