Philadelphia FIGHT is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to provide essential clinical support within our FQHC Community Health Centers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trauma-informed care and harm-reduction approaches in healthcare. We are looking for a team-oriented professional who demonstrates flexibility, a positive attitude, initiative, and accountability, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic healthcare environment. This role requires close collaboration with both clinical and administrative teams to ensure seamless patient care.  

Qualifications
- Radiology Certification for the state of Pennsylvania.  
- CPR/Basic Life Support (BLS) and AED Certification for adults and children.  
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.  

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare treatment rooms following prescribed protocols and procedures.  
- Welcome, seat, and obtain vital measurements from patients.  
- Provide information and answer patient inquiries regarding dental procedures and care.  
- Demonstrate knowledge of general dental procedures, infection control, sterilization techniques, instrument setup, and materials management.  
- Expose and develop radiographic studies; pour, trim, and polish study casts.  
- Accurately record medical and dental histories in the electronic medical record (EMR).  
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and informed consent regulations.  
- Assist in managing patient flow and triage of urgent care cases.  
- Educate patients on oral health and hygiene practices.  
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold clinic operational standards.  
- Exhibit basic competency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite.  
- Continuously strive for excellence and operational efficiency within Philadelphia FIGHT Family Dentistry.  
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
