Part-Time Hygienist

Dental Hygienist Wanted – Smile Land Family Dental, San Antonio, TX

What We’re Looking For:

- A candidate who loves working with patients of all ages

- A deep understanding of health and safety regulations

- A keen eye for detecting oral diseases and anomalies

- Experience with Open Dental is preferred

Responsibilities:

- Ensure patients are comfortable before their examination

- Sterilize dental instruments correctly

- Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history

- Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis

- Clean and protect patients’ teeth (e.g., remove plaque, apply fluoride)

- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene (e.g., brushing techniques)

- Provide post-procedure instructions to patients

- Take X-rays and dental impressions

- Maintain accurate patient documentation and records

- Monitor and manage dental supplies

Skills:

- Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist

- Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA)

- Proficiency in preparing and maintaining dental equipment

- Excellent communication skills

- Friendly and patient-focused demeanor

- Strong attention to detail

- Valid TX Hygienist License
