Responsibilities:
- Assist the dentist with various procedures, including cleanings, fillings, crowns, and extractions
- Prepare patients for treatment by sterilizing equipment and taking vital signs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical and dental records using dental software such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft
- Perform routine tasks such as suctioning, taking impressions, and operating 3D scanners
- Collaborate with the pediatric dentist to deliver high-quality care to children and adolescents
- Utilize medical imaging technology, including panoramic and intraoral x-rays
- Handle administrative tasks like answering phones and scheduling appointments
- Ensure the clinic is clean, organized, and adheres to high standards of hygiene and infection control
- Engage in continuing education to stay current with advancements in dental technology and procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant experience
- Proficiency in dental terminology and medical documentation
- Experience with dental software like Epic and Eaglesoft preferred
- Familiarity with 3D scanning technology is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient care
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Certification as a Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) is a plus
- Spanish language skills required
Compensation:
- Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 32 per week
