Position Overview: Hygiene Dentist
Family Health Centers of San Diego seeks a compassionate Hygiene Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care under the guidance of our Dental Director. As a leader and provider within our organization, you will deliver affordable, high-quality dental care, focusing on serving uninsured, low-income, and medically underserved individuals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately complete all required documentation in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with department standards and insurance requirements.
- Develop and review hygiene protocols, audit procedures, and quality assurance measures.
- Perform preventive dental procedures such as prophylaxis, root planning and scaling, sealants, and oral health education.
- Adhere to the scope of practice, consult and refer patients to dentists, dental specialists, or medical providers as needed.
- Utilize resources effectively and practice cost-efficient care.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited dental school.
- Licensed in California as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Medical Dentistry (D.M.D.).
- DEA license required.
- General practice residency or a minimum of two years of clinical experience is preferred.
- Current American Heart Association CPR (BLS) or equivalent certification.
- Membership in the American Academy of General Dentistry is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English is strongly preferred.

Compensation Transparency:
The base pay range for this position is $53.66 - $82.05 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Final salary is determined based on factors including location, experience, education, skills, and internal equity among our current team members. Our compensation philosophy emphasizes pay equity and growth, allowing for future salary increases.
