Northway Dental is seeking a Hygiene Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:

- Greet and welcome patients from the start of their dental journey, ensuring patient comfort and providing appropriate education throughout treatment.

- Conduct thorough reviews of patients’ health histories to deliver quality care.

- Provide superior assistance to hygienists during various procedures, adhering to state dental practice acts.

- Assist in setting up rooms for hygiene visits, including stocking and restocking instruments and supplies.

- Utilize Dentrix for patient scheduling and record-keeping.

- Prepare treatment rooms in strict adherence to safety protocols, following OSHA and CDC recommendations.

- Collaborate with providers and team members to follow office systems and maximize workflow.

Qualifications:

- High school graduate or GED equivalent.

- Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

- Excellent communication and organizational skills.

- On-the-job training and additional certification may be required based on state requirements.

- Ability to access and protect minimum necessary PHI for job-related functions, with regular HIPAA training.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.

- Must be able to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.

- Availability to attend virtual (or in-person) training sessions periodically throughout the year.
