Heritage Dental Center is hiring: Dental Assistant in San Antonio

Heritage Dental and Orthodontics is seeking a dependable and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing team. In this role, you will play an essential part in delivering exceptional patient care while supporting the dentist in both clinical and administrative responsibilities. We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced dental environment.

Location: Heritage Dental and Orthodontics

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:00 PM

Pay: $18–$20 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Welcome patients and prepare them for dental treatments and examinations while ensuring their comfort throughout the visit
Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, materials, and equipment for dental procedures
Follow strict sterilization and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sanitary environment
Assist with laboratory tasks and provide patients with clear post-operative instructions
Maintain accurate patient records, treatment documentation, and charts
Support scheduling and front office operations to help ensure smooth daily workflow
Keep treatment rooms clean, organized, and fully stocked
Perform regulated non-surgical tasks, including coronal polishing if certified, and assist with additional duties permitted by local regulations

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dental Assistant
Current Dental Assistant Certification (CDA or RDA) required
Additional certifications such as EFDA or Radiology Certification are highly preferred
Strong knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization techniques, and infection control procedures
Familiarity with dental procedures, treatments, and safety regulations
Experience with dental software systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft preferred
Excellent communication and patient care skills
Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail and multitasking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of patient care
