Experienced RDA or DA

ALMA Dental is a patient-centered private practice in Point Loma known for its calm, professional atmosphere and genuinely wonderful patients. We’re seeking an experienced RDA or DA who is confident, personable, and a true team player—someone who enjoys patient interaction just as much as chairside assisting.

Position: Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA)
Location: Point Loma, San Diego, CA
Schedule: Part-time | Tuesday–Thursday | 8 hours/day
No evenings or weekends
Pay: $25–$35 per hour
Expected Hours: 24 per week

This role is primarily clinical, but strong communication skills are essential. You should feel comfortable supporting both back and front office workflows, helping explain and reinforce treatment plans, assisting with scheduling, and keeping patient flow running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

Chairside assisting during dental procedures
Supporting patient flow and ensuring a smooth daily schedule
Assisting with treatment discussions and follow-ups when appropriate
Helping with scheduling and front office support as needed
Accurate charting in Eaglesoft
Collaborating with the team to keep the day running efficiently

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience (required)
RDA or DA license (required)
Solid understanding of dental procedures
Eaglesoft and/or front office experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)

While this is not a management role, leadership is expected. You should feel comfortable guiding others, speaking up when improvements are needed, and helping the team function at its best.

Compensation & Benefits:
