We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental assisting, especially in pediatric dentistry, and will play a key role in supporting our team while ensuring a positive, comfortable experience for our patients.

Expanded Functions Dental Assistant

Philly Dentistry – Philadelphia, PA  

Schedule Options:

- Full-Time: Monday - Thursday, 7:15 AM - 5:15 PM  

- Part-Time: Monday and Wednesday, 7:15 AM - 5:15 PM

Key Responsibilities:  

- Assist the dentist during various procedures, including exams, cleanings, and treatments.  

- Prepare and maintain treatment rooms, ensuring all instruments and materials are ready for use.  

- Perform four-handed dentistry to enhance procedure efficiency.  

- Manage patient records and medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.  

- Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care.  

- Take medical images, such as X-rays, and other diagnostic tools as needed.  

- Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.  

- Provide support to the front office team as needed, including appointment scheduling and managing patient inquiries.

Experience & Qualifications:  

- Previous experience in dental assisting, with a focus on pediatric dentistry preferred.  

- Familiarity with dental systems and equipment is essential.  

- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and medical documentation standards.  

- Experience with dental reception duties or patient interaction is a plus.  

- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is beneficial.
