We are a rapidly expanding dental implant center seeking a skilled Dental Implant Assistant with experience in a similar fast-paced environment. We prioritize candidates with surgical and restorative experience in both single and full-mouth dental implant treatments. Intraoral scanning experience is a plus!

Job Description: Dental Implant Assistant

As a Dental Implant Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting clinicians at our dental implant center. Your duties will include supporting routine and advanced oral surgery procedures, patient preparation, clinical area setup, and managing surgical equipment, instruments, and patient records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist the clinician with patient care and surgical procedures.

- Set up the operatory for surgical procedures.

- Monitor patients during surgeries.

- Support full-mouth restorative treatments.

- Perform intraoral scanning of patients.

- Manage dental implant inventory.

- Communicate key areas of concern and treatment plans to the clinician prior to surgery.

- Provide appropriate assistance during medical emergencies, following proper training.

- Discuss post-operative instructions and complications with patients, relaying relevant information to the clinician.

- Adhere to infection control guidelines before, during, and after each dental treatment, including cleaning treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments.

- Maintain supply levels, assist with inventory management, and notify the team when supplies are needed.

- Prepare instruments for sterilization and ensure proper handling and transportation of clean and dirty instruments.

- Assist with new patient registrations and manage data in Dentrix.

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a CODA-accredited dental assistant training program and approximately one year of experience as a dental assistant in an oral surgery or dental implant center is preferred.

- Certification as an oral and maxillofacial surgery assistant is a plus.

- Ability to establish effective working relationships with clinicians and team members.

- Knowledge of infection control standards and dental procedures.

Work Conditions:

- You will work in a clinical environment with dental equipment and materials.

- Work hours may vary based on clinic schedules, with some Saturdays required (offset by a weekday off).

Physical Demands:

- Ability to bend, stoop, reach, stand, and move around the facility regularly.

- Manual dexterity for handling dental instruments and operating a computer.

- Sufficient near vision to read documents and identify dental instruments.

- Good communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.

- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.

Patient Care Focus:

You will spend significant time working one-on-one with patients, making their care your top priority. You will explain procedures, answer questions, and address concerns with compassion and professionalism.

Job Details:

- Job Type: Full-time

- Pay: Up to $31.00 per hour

- Expected Hours: 35 – 45 per week

Experience Required:

- 2 years of dental assisting

- 3 years of dental implant experience

License/Certification:

- X-Ray Certification (preferred)
