Dental Hygienist Position

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dental By Design. As a vital member of our dental care team, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional oral health services to our patients.

Responsibilities:

- Patient Comfort: Create a positive and calming environment to ensure patients feel at ease before their examinations.

- Sterilization: Properly sterilize dental instruments to maintain a clean and safe workspace.

- Screenings: Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health histories to identify potential issues.

- Diagnosis: Identify conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis, and develop effective treatment plans.

- Teeth Cleaning: Clean and protect patients' teeth by removing plaque and applying fluoride.

- Education: Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene and demonstrate effective brushing techniques.

- Post-Procedure Care: Provide clear post-operative instructions, ensuring patients understand their care and recovery.

- Imaging: Take X-rays or dental impressions to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.

- Treatment Assistance: Collaborate with dentists to select appropriate treatments for various dental conditions, including oral cancer.

- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and charts to facilitate seamless communication among team members.

- Supply Management: Monitor and manage dental supplies to ensure a well-stocked and efficient workspace.

Requirements:

- Experience: Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or Periodontal Therapist.

- Knowledge: Strong understanding of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

- Skills: Excellent communication skills, a friendly and patient demeanor, and exceptional attention to detail.

- Credentials: Diploma in Dental Hygiene; a Master's degree is a plus.

- Licensure: Valid license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.

- Technology: Ability to digitally scan patients (e.g., Itero) and knowledge of Invisalign and its benefits.
