Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited Dental Hygienist Program
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a Dental Hygienist
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Empathy for patients' pain, discomfort, or concerns
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to inspire and motivate patients regarding their oral health
- Excellent communication skills, including speaking and listening
- Flexibility in approach and problem-solving abilities
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Proficient in computer use
Job Description:
As a Dental Hygienist, you will deliver dental hygiene services to patients undergoing dental and oral/maxillofacial procedures in an ambulatory care setting. Your role will include providing clinical support for Dental and Oral Surgery sessions and serving as the initial point of contact for patients at the Dental and Oral/Maxillofacial Clinic. Responsibilities include screening patients, educating them about the impact of diet on oral health, counseling during and after treatments, performing minor dental procedures (such as teeth and gum cleaning, plaque removal, and denture adjustments).
